We know that despite all the enthusiasm for and investment in AI, the current state of the art is simply not fit-for-purpose for use in high-consequence environments. We want the world to have the tools to deploy advanced intelligence safely, responsibly and with full control.
Our story
In 2018, after years of research and contrarian thinking Dr Angelo Dalli completed the theoretical framework for neuro-symbolic AI. In 2019, after the initial validation of the theory together with Ken Cassar we founded Umnai to turn this neuro-symbolic architecture into a world-changing technology paradigm.
With the support of our visionary early investors and our small team, we have built the first-of-its-kind neuro-symbolic AI platform. We know Hybrid Intelligence will change how AI is conceived, designed, built and operated across financial services, health, justice, education and all other industries.
Our vision
Our unwavering vision is to support the world to expect more from Intelligence. To demand transparency, accountability and control. We believe that the world can move beyond the limitations of rule based system and opaque machine learning. We think quality of reasoning will surpass quantity of compute, data and power and the true discriminator of useful intelligence. We believe the preservation of knowledge and ground truth will displace probabilistic generation as the primary driver of exponential progress for human kind. The path forward is not to displace human intelligence but to embrace it, learn from it and amplify it.
